Diversity and Inclusion

We at Endeavor, seek to promote diversity and inclusion for all persons in our community and within the organization regardless of race, ethnicity, sex, disability, country of origin, field of research, socio-economic status, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, and gender identity.  Our mission is to embrace diversity as a Core Value.

We believe that to succeed in our mission as a healthcare provider, we must connect with diverse groups of people and businesses. We embrace diverse populations through our dedication to the community we serve. To achieve this, our Diversity and Inclusion Council strives to ensure our workforce, our company’s culture, and our services provided are reflective of the communities we serve.

Our Diversity and Inclusion Council works thoroughly to bring forth additional resources, best practices and approaches while providing trainings and relative discussions to our staff and community.  We believe this is an ongoing effort and we strive to continually support our staff, clients, and community as a whole.

At Endeavor we stand in support of all people who experience hatred and violence based solely on who they are. We denounce incidents and every act of racism, violence and injustice directed towards any person due to their race, ethnicity, sex, disability, country of origin, field of research, socio-economic status, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, and gender identity.  There is no room for racism or discrimination at Endeavor Health Services.  We embrace our diversity, compassion, and inclusion, which is our greatest source of strength.

Endeavor’s Diversity and Inclusion Council was established in 2008 after our staff attended Cultural Competency Trainings by the National Multi-Cultural Institute.  Certain staff volunteered to be trainers to train new Endeavor staff.  In 2008 Endeavor identified its first Diversity Officer and the Diversity and Inclusion Council was established.  Presently, we hold quarterly Introduction to Cultural Competency at Endeavor for all new staff and in addition we conduct an agency-wide Annual Training focusing on various topics.  Our members are made up of a diverse group of individuals at Endeavor.  We also survey clients to obtain their input on various issues and incorporated their responses into some of our trainings.

Endeavor stands with you and those dedicated to eradicating racism and inequality, now and into the future.
